I’m moved by the work of Goldworthy. It reminds me of an eye etched, a portal into one’s soul deep and not shallow. The place where tears gush from the waters of one’s being. An eye etched on a surface that never meets the point of pens for permanence. Perhaps it is a symbol of the eye itself - things fleeting like rushing waters can be forever etched within us. Though time fades and flies from us there are things of time kept near through the flash of that inward eye. In the eye there is a hole - a hole into the waters. I fall into one’s eyes as one falls into one’s arms. There is comfort in the silent gaze which speaks as loud as human tongue. It is not blocked with concrete, I can look through one’s eye as into it. Also great poem by the way, loved the reading and the imagery. I saved this post to my favorites and will explore more of the pieces mentioned. Thanks for sharing!
